Key Responsibilities: 

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components in diesel-powered cars. 
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and engine tune-ups. 
• Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs. 
• Repair or replace faulty components such as fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, and steering mechanisms. 
• Adjust, repair, or replace worn parts to ensure the vehicle operates efficiently and complies with safety standards. 
• Perform engine overhauls, rebuilds, and other major repairs as needed. 
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including parts used, labor time, and customer recommendations. 
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in diesel technology and advancements in repair techniques. 
• Inspect and test vehicles to ensure repairs are successful and meet quality and safety standards. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Proven experience as a diesel car mechanic or diesel technician. 
• In-depth understanding of diesel engines and their associated systems (e.g., fuel, electrical, exhaust). 
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, equipment, and repair manuals. 
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. 
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. 
• Solid understanding of vehicle safety standards and regulations. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Education and Experience: 

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred). 
• years of experience working with diesel-powered vehicles. 
• Certification as a diesel mechanic or technician is a plus (e.g., ASE Certification).
